THE DANCE OF PRAKRUTI (NATURE) (10 hours)
THE DANCE OF RASA (EMOTIONS) (10 hours) Everyone dances for entertainment and fun. Can we dance our way to health? Move every part of the body including fingers, in yoga-like stretches, to a dynamic yet soothing instrumental music.

YOGA-NRITYA - (YOGA-DANCE FUSION) (12 hours)
Yoga & Dance are NOT really different. Each leads us along the same journey in slightly different ways. Add a new Rhythm to your Yoga practice. Learn Yoga postures and use Dance to go deeper into postures. No need to choose between Yoga and Dance for, we all LOVE DANCE, but badly NEED YOGA...

STORY TELLING THROUGH CREATIVE DANCE
Learn the basic Mudras (gestures), their application, the different
moods etc; Bring your own stories to dance them out.

DANCE THERAPY
FOR WEIGHT LOSS (movements of a snake & snake charmer)

WHO'S WHO IN INDIAN DANCE

* The beautiful and expressive, Tara Ahmed is based in Boston but has performed and taught many times in Rhode Island. Her training is in Bharat Natyam, a vibrant dance form using symbolic hand gestures, percussive footwork and eye & neck movements. Lately she has been incorporating taiko drumming into Indian dance, with amazing results. She is available for traditional and contemporary workshops, demonstrations and performances.
