Formed in 1999, PB&J (originally called The New Providence Theatrical Ballroom and Jazz Project) encompasses many dance styles primarily ballroom, latin, and jazz, and premiered at SummerBall at the Providence Fleet Center on August 5, 2000. PB&J brings Ballroom dancing into the performing arts in Providence and throughout the state.

The company gives professional ballroom dancers a place on the stage and amateur dancers more opportunities to perform.

They are available for concerts and various functions during their tour season of April through July and again September through early December.

PB&J offers dance lessons for beginners in ballroom and for more advanced students in ballroom, theatrical, and jazz. Please check the riDance Class section for class information.

PB&J is available for performances during their tour season of April through July. For anyone who has not yet had the pleasure of seeing this company, they are an extremely accomplished and very physical ballroom and jazz performance group. Each year for the past three years, they have drawn thousands of people to their outdoor SummerBall performance. Fred Gliottone of Swing Newport has called PB&J "Rhode Island's most requested dance company". Call or email artistic director Nelia Lawton at 401-245-1119 Dancenelia@aol.com
