The Company presents the premiere of Time Is The Fire In Which We Burn, a new ballet by Company member Danielle Genest. Set to a tender and intimate score for piano and cello by Peter Sculthorpe, it is choreographed for eight dancers. The Company also performs There’s a Party in My Mind, Miki Ohlsen’s popular and high energy ballet to songs by David Byrne. Also on the program: Michael Bolger’s quirky Side by Side and Kelly Ann Sloan’s charming ballet Field Trip, which was commissioned by the Rhode Island Foundation, Joan Martin, VG Gooding and Saverio De Ruggiero this spring as part of the Company’s Choreographer’s Competition.
